Students of Tamale Girls’ SHS Highlight Dangers of Drug Abuse Through Drama

Students of Tamale Girls’ Senior High School have used drama to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse among young people.

The students presented a thought-provoking drama during an appearance on Northciti Breakfast Avenue, using storytelling and performance to highlight the devastating effects drug abuse can have on individuals, families and society.

The presentation depicted some of the challenges associated with substance abuse, particularly among young people, and encouraged students and other members of the public to make responsible choices and avoid substances that could negatively affect their health, education and future.

Through the drama, the students demonstrated how peer pressure and other social influences can expose young people to harmful behaviours, while also highlighting the importance of guidance, education and support in preventing substance abuse.

The performance attracted attention for its creative approach to addressing a serious social issue. Rather than relying solely on conventional lectures, the students used drama to make the message relatable and easier for young audiences to understand.
